Founding and early development
Arthur joined his brothers Walter and William and mechanic William Harley to form what would become an iconic motorcycle manufacturer. The company was formally started in 1903, and Arthur, together with his siblings, played a central role in transforming a small workshop into a recognized maker of motorbikes.
