Velafrons is a genus of duck‑billed (hadrosaurid) dinosaur known from a distinctive sail‑like forehead. Its fossils come from the Upper Cretaceous Cerro del Pueblo Formation in Coahuila, Mexico.

Velafrons (name meaning "sailed forehead") is a genus of duck‑billed dinosaur placed among the hadrosaurids. It is mainly known from material recovered in northern Mexico and is notable for an unusually tall, rounded structure on the front of the skull that gives the genus its name. The type species is V. coahuilensis, described from specimen CPC‑59. Velafrons is often discussed in the context of other North American hadrosaur discoveries and helps document diversity of Late Cretaceous herbivores.

As an herbivore, Velafrons would have fed on a range of plant material, processed by its specialized dental battery.
