Dima Bilan
Dima Bilan (Russian Дима Билан, real name Viktor Nikolaevich Belan (Russian Виктор Николаевич Белан); born 24 December 1981 in Ust-Djeguta, Karachay-Cherkessia Partial Republic) is a Russian pop singer.

When Dima Bilan was one year old, he and his family of four moved to his grandmother in Naberezhnye Chelny in Tatarstan, where he lived until he was six. Then he moved with his family to Kabardino-Balkaria to the town of Maiski, where he also finished school. As a child, Dima Bilan was a soloist of the school choir and participated in numerous competitions. His first music teacher was Ludmila Ibragimovna Sashina. After graduating from high school, he studied at the renowned Gnessin Academy of Music in Moscow.
He was awarded Best Russian Artist at the MTV Russia Music Awards in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 and at the MTV Europe Music Awards. He has released four albums to date. He became known throughout Europe through his participation in the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest, where he placed second with the song Never Let You Go. In November 2006 he received the "Best-Selling Russian Artist Award" at the World Music Awards. This was followed by other awards.
After Bilan won the Russian preliminary round of Eurovision 2008 in March 2008, he once again took part in the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) for Russia and took first place with the ballad Believe, which was produced by Timbaland. Bilan was supported in his performance by, among others, the successful Russian figure skater Yevgeny Plyushchenko. In 2011, he read out the Russian scoring for the 56th Eurovision Song Contest in Düsseldorf. In March 2012, he competed with Yulia Volkova with the song Back to Her Future in the Russian preliminary round of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012, but failed to qualify for the ESC in Baku.
On June 6, 2008, Universal Music Domestic released "Believe" as a single in Germany.
Since 2012 Dima Bilan has been a coach on the show Golos (The Voice), and since 2014 on the show Golos Deti (The Voice Kids).
Dima Bilan belongs to the right-wing populist Liberal Democratic Party of Russia. At the same time he participated in events of the parties "United Russia" and "Just Russia". In 2011, he expressed positive views on the opposition rallies on the occasion of the parliamentary elections. In the 2012 and 2016 presidential elections, he supported Vladimir Putin. He spoke out against the ban on an LGBT parade in Moscow and called for the removal of the openly homophobic MP Vitaly Milonov in an open letter. At the same time he spoke out against the so-called "propaganda of homosexuality".
