Charles Shane Robinson (born July 2, 1964) is an American professional wrestling referee who rose from regional promotion work to become a long-serving official in mainstream wrestling. He began his career in the mid-1990s behind the scenes and later became a regular on national television, noted for both dependable officiating and occasional on-screen character work.

Early career

Robinson entered the industry working as a photographer for the Pro Wrestling Federation (PWF) around 1995, learning production and ring procedure while assisting talent and staff. From that starting point he transitioned into refereeing, a common pathway in the business where backstage experience and in-ring timing are valuable. His early work in regional shows provided the practical training that prepared him for larger promotions.

Work in major promotions

In the late 1990s Robinson worked for World Championship Wrestling (WCW), where he became better known to television audiences. After WCW's assets were acquired by World Wrestling Entertainment, Robinson joined WWE and has been part of its officiating roster since about 2001.
