Vladimir Beara (2 November 1928 – 11 August 2014) was a Yugoslav footballer who played as a goalkeeper and later worked as a football manager. His most prominent spell as a player was with Hajduk Split, where he spent the late 1940s and the first half of the 1950s.
Playing career
Beara's senior club career at Hajduk Split spanned from 1946 until 1955. Across that period he made 308 appearances for the club and was part of the squad that won the Yugoslav league championship in 1950, 1952 and 1955.
Later career
After retiring from the playing side of the game, Beara continued to be involved in football in a managerial capacity. Details of his managerial appointments vary by source, but his transition from player to coach is part of his recorded biography.
Death
Vladimir Beara died on 11 August 2014 in Split, Croatia, at the age of 85.
