The musky rat-kangaroo, Hypsiprymnodon moschatus, is a small marsupial species found in the rainforests of northeast Queensland, Australia. It moves by extending its body and then bringing both of its hind legs forward. It eats fallen fruit and large seeds, as well as small vertebrate animals. Its body is about 23 cm (9.1 in) in length. Its tail is about 14 cm (5.5 in). They weigh about 530 grams (1.17 lb).
