Labinot Harbuzi (4 April 1986 – 11 October 2018) was a Swedish footballer of Kosovar-Albanian heritage. Best known as a creative midfielder, he combined early promise in youth systems with professional appearances in Sweden's top flight. His career and premature death drew attention both to his on-field abilities and to health issues faced by athletes.

Early life and club career

Harbuzi left Sweden as a teenager to join the youth ranks of Dutch club Feyenoord, where he played in the club's reserve and youth teams after being signed at around 15 years old. He returned to Sweden in the spring of 2006, signing for Malmö FF and making his debut in the Allsvenskan the same year. His move back to Malmö marked his entry into senior professional football and gave him a platform to demonstrate his technical and tactical skills.

Playing style and role

As a midfielder Harbuzi was typically deployed in a creative role, working to link defense and attack. Observers noted his ball control, vision and ability to contribute both to buildup play and chances in the final third.
