Irving Petlin (December 17, 1934 – September 1, 2018) was an American artist and painter. He was born in Chicago, Illinois. Petlin was known for his mastery of the pastel medium and collaborations with other artists. He was a member of the Chicago Imagists.
Petlin died of liver cancer in Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts on September 1, 2018 at the age of 83.
