Eduardo Bauzá

Career and principal offices

Bauzá joined the Menem administration in 1989. Early in that government he served as Minister of Health and as Minister of the Interior, roles he occupied during the transition and early years of the presidency. After the 1994 constitutional reform established the office of Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers to coordinate executive ministries and report to Congress, Bauzá became the inaugural holder of that post in 1995 and served until 1996. He later sat in the Argentine Senate from 5 June 1996 to 10 December 1999.
