Edguy — German power metal band

Edguy are a long-running metal band formed in the city of Fulda in central Germany. Established in 1992, the group became associated with European power metal yet has incorporated hard rock, melodic hooks and occasional theatrical touches into its sound.

The band is led by vocalist and primary songwriter Tobias Sammet, who also created the rock-opera project Avantasia, bringing wider attention to his work and to the band.
