Overview
Deutsche Bank Twin Towers are a pair of high-rise office buildings serving as the main administrative center for the bank. In German they are known as Zwillingstürme der Deutschen Bank or Hauptverwaltung Deutsche Bank AG.
Location and form
The complex stands in the Westend‑Süd quarter of Frankfurt and consists of two identical skyscrapers. Each tower reaches 155 m (509 ft) above ground, giving them a clearly visible twin silhouette on the city skyline.
Function
The buildings operate as the corporate headquarters of Deutsche Bank, which is the largest banking institution in Germany.
Names and cultural notes
Locally the pair are sometimes called "debit and" credit, a reference to the accounting terms. In German the phrase is Soll und Haben, alluding to the two sides of a financial transaction. The towers are often used as a symbol for the bank and for Frankfurt's role as a finance center in Germany.
