Merger into Verzasca

On 17 October 2020 Corippo ceased to be an independent municipality when it joined four neighbouring municipalities to form the new municipality of Verzasca. The merger combined Corippo with Brione (Verzasca), Frasco, Sonogno and Vogorno, creating a single municipal administration for the Verzasca valley. The consolidation aimed to streamline local government, pool resources, and better support services for residents across the valley.
