Strusta Lake — Braslau Lakes lake in Vitebsk Region, Belarus

Formation and physical character

Strusta was formed by glacial processes during the last Ice Age. Its basin and shoreline reflect morainic deposits and meltwater action, producing a mixture of sandy beaches, reed-fringed shallows and forested banks. The lake connects hydrologically with nearby lakes, streams and wetlands that make the Braslau area a mosaic of aquatic habitats.

Ecology and wildlife
