Randallstown is an unincorporated community and a census-designated place (CDP) in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. Located northwest of the city center of Baltimore, Randallstown functions primarily as a residential suburb with commercial corridors, parks and community services. The population was recorded as 32,430 at the 2010 census.

Characteristics and geography

The community is made up of a mix of single-family neighborhoods, townhouse developments and small apartment complexes. Much of Randallstown developed during the mid-20th century as suburban growth expanded outward from Baltimore. It is not an incorporated municipality, so local governance, schools and many public services are provided by Baltimore County.
