Marcos José Carvajal (pronounced [ˈmarkos ˈhoze karβaˈxal]; 19 August 1984 – 24 January 2018) was a Venezuelan professional baseball player who worked primarily as a relief pitcher. He reached the major leagues during his career and appeared for teams in the United States.
Professional career
Carvajal made appearances in Major League Baseball with several clubs, including the Colorado Rockies and the Florida Marlins. Known for his role out of the bullpen, he spent time in both the majors and various professional leagues during his playing days.
Death
Marcos Carvajal died from pneumonia on 24 January 2018 in Ciudad Bolívar, Venezuela. He was 33 years old.
