Lincoln County is a coastal county in the U.S. Pacific Northwest. Located in Oregon, it had a population of 46,034 according to the 2010 census. The county seat is Newport, and the county itself is identified administratively as Lincoln County. The county was named to honor Abraham Lincoln and is part of the broader political structure of the United States.
Geographically the county runs along a stretch of the Pacific coastline and includes bays, headlands and forested inland lowlands. The shoreline and marine environment shape much of the local economy and culture. Major population centers include Newport, Lincoln City, Depoe Bay, Waldport and Toledo, with small unincorporated communities and stretches of public beach and state-managed natural areas.

Historically the region was home to Indigenous peoples, including groups associated with today’s Confederated Tribes of Siletz and other coastal bands.
