James William "Jimmy" Snuka (May 18, 1943 – January 15, 2017) was a Fijian-born professional wrestler best known by his ring name Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka. He rose to fame in the 1970s and 1980s for a distinctive high-flying style and a charismatic, primal persona. Billed from the South Pacific, Snuka became one of the most widely recognized performers of his era and later a WWE Hall of Fame inductee.
