Charles G. Sibley

Charles Gald Sibley (August 7, 1917 – April 12, 1998) was an American ornithologist and molecular biologist whose research reshaped how scientists view relationships among birds. Working at the interface of field ornithology and laboratory genetics, Sibley championed molecular evidence as a way to test and revise traditional classifications based on anatomy and behavior.
