Brontallo is a small village that was formerly an independent municipality in the district of Vallemaggia, located in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland.

Administrative changes

On 4 April 2004 the local governments of Broglio, Brontallo, Fusio, Menzonio, Peccia and Prato-Sornico were merged to form the new municipality called Lavizzara. Since that reorganisation Brontallo has been managed as part of Lavizzara, while continuing to be recognised as a distinct village within the larger municipal structure.
