Geography and built character

Fusio sits above the valley floor in the upper reaches of the Val Lavizzara, a side valley of the Vallemaggia. The hamlet is typical of mountain villages in the region: clustered stone and wood houses, narrow lanes and small terraces carved into the steep slopes.
