Paul Sorvino (April 13, 1939 – July 25, 2022) was an American actor. He often played authority figures on both sides of the law. He played Paulie Cicero in the 1990 gangster movie Goodfellas. He also played NYPD Sergeant Phil Cerreta in Law & Order. He was the father of actress Mira Sorvino.
Sorvino was born in Brooklyn, New York City.
On July 25, 2022, Sorvino died of natural causes at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida at the age of 83.
