Arlene Golonka (January 23, 1936 – May 31, 2021) was an American actress best known for her work on television. She was frequently cast as lively, often eccentric blonde supporting characters and became familiar to viewers through a string of guest and recurring roles.
Notable roles
Her most recognizable recurring part was as Millie Swanson on The Andy Griffith Show. Golonka also appeared in feature films and made memorable guest appearances on many series, including the western film Hang 'Em High and the television programs The Rockford Files and Murder, She Wrote. She had a guest turn on the sitcom All in the Family as well.

Golonka was born and raised in Chicago. From early on she pursued acting, eventually building a career that concentrated on television while also encompassing stage and film work.
