Zaatari refugee camp is a refugee camp. It is located in Jordan, about 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) from the Syrian border. In August 2015, UNHCR estimated a population of 79.900 people. The camp covers an area of about 15 square kilometres (5.8 sq mi). Over time, Zaatari has grown to be Jordan's fourth-largest settlement.
