Tiruvalangadu (Tamil: திருவாலங்காடு Tiruvālaṅkāṭu [ˈt̪iɾɯʋaːlʌŋɡaːɖɯ]; also Thiruvalangadu, Tiruvalankadu) is a village in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The population is around 6,300 (2011 census).

Tiruvalangadu is located in the Taluk Tiruttani of Tiruvallur district in northern Tamil Nadu a good 60 kilometres west of Chennai (Madras), the state capital, and 40 kilometres north of Kanchipuram. The next largest town is Arakonam. About five kilometres south of the town is the Tiruvalangadu railway station, which is served by the Chennai Suburban Railway.

Tiruvalangadu is home to an important Hindu shrine, the Vadaranyeswarar Temple. The oldest inscriptions in the temple date back to the 5th century, but in its present form, the temple dates back to the Chola period (12th-13th century). The temple of Tiruvalangadu is dedicated to the god Shiva and is one of the "five dance halls" (Pancha Sabha), a group of five temples where Shiva, in his manifestation as Nataraja, "king of dance", performs his cosmic dance (Tandava), along with the Nataraja temple at Chidambaram, the Minakshi temple at Madurai and the Tirunelveli and Courtallam temples. According to the myth, Shiva had a dance contest with the goddess Kali in a banyan forest (Tiruvalangadu means "sacred banyan forest") in Tiruvalangadu. In the process, he reportedly defeated Kali by raising his left foot above his head to the Urdhva-Tandava pose. Shiva's dance in Tiruvalangadu was sung about by the 6th century hymn writer Karaikal Ammaiyar.
