St. Clair River

The St. Clair River (French: Rivière Sainte-Claire) is a river in central North America that runs about 40.5 miles (65.2 km) from Lake Huron into Lake St. Clair. For much of its course it forms part of the international boundary between the Canadian province of Ontario and the U.S. state of Michigan. The river is an integral link in the Great Lakes system, carrying water between the upper lakes and the lower lakes through the Detroit River downstream.

The St. Clair River is relatively straight and fast-flowing compared with many other regional waterways.
