Sheila Dikshit (née Kapoor; 31 March 1938 – 20 July 2019) was an Indian politician known for her long tenure as head of the government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi. She was born in Kapurthala, Punjab and became a prominent leader of the Indian National Congress.
