Rubén José Suñé (7 March 1947 – 20 June 2019) was an Argentine footballer who played primarily as a midfielder. Born in Buenos Aires, he became one of the defining figures of Boca Juniors during the 1970s, admired for his leadership, tactical intelligence and presence in big matches.
Club career
Suñé spent the most significant portions of his club career at Boca Juniors, with two spells from 1967–1972 and 1976–1980. Between those periods he played for clubs including Huracán, Unión de Santa Fe and San Lorenzo.
