Philippe André Eugène, Baron Bodson (2 November 1944 – 4 April 2020) was a noted Belgian entrepreneur and public servant. Over several decades he combined senior corporate roles with a period in national politics.

Professional life

Bodson's business career included long service in the glass manufacturing sector. He joined Glaverbel in 1977 and was appointed chief executive officer in 1980, a position he retained until 1989. Following his time at Glaverbel, he served as a non-executive director on the board of the financial group Fortis from September 1989 through December 1998.

Political activity

Later in life he entered the political arena, sitting in the Belgian Senate for a single term from 1999 to 2003.

Death

Bodson died on 4 April 2020 at the age of 75. The cause of death was reported as COVID-19.
