Geography and environment

The landscape in Micoud is characterized by sandy and rocky Atlantic shoreline, small bays and rivers that flow from interior slopes toward the sea. Inland areas rise into modest hills and cultivated terraces. Vegetation ranges from coastal scrub to cultivated farmland and secondary forest. The quarter's location facing the Atlantic makes parts of its coast exposed to stronger waves and winds than sheltered western shores.

Economy and communities
