Liam Miller — Irish professional footballer

Liam Miller (13 February 1981 – 9 February 2018) was an Irish professional footballer best known as a hardworking central midfielder. He combined simple, effective passing with tireless movement and a commitment to team play that earned him recognition at club and international level.

Miller came through the youth and reserve structures before establishing himself at Celtic, where he gained his early first-team experience. In 2001 he spent time on loan in Denmark with Aarhus, an opportunity that helped him develop his tactical awareness and adapt to different styles of play.
In 2004 Miller moved to Manchester United on a free transfer under the Bosman ruling. International career
