Ishmael Mathew Ameal Levenston (23 July 1940 – 19 October 2019) was a politician from Saba, a small Caribbean island. He helped establish the Saba Labour Party and was a recognizable figure in local government for several decades.

Political career

Levenston served on the Saba Island Council in two separate periods: first from 1975 until 1979, and later from 1983 through 1987. During his time in office he was involved in municipal affairs and party activities on the island, including work connected to the Saba Labour Party which he founded.

Death

Levenston died on 19 October 2019 at the age of 79. The cause of death was reported as heart failure, and he passed away at a retirement facility in The Bottom, the island's capital.
