Heather Menzies-Urich (born Heather Margaret Brotherston Menzies; December 3, 1949 – December 24, 2017) was a Canadian-American model, actress and activist. She first gained wide recognition as one of the von Trapp children in the classic 1965 film The Sound of Music, in which she played Louisa von Trapp. Born in Toronto, Ontario, Menzies moved between Canada and the United States as her career developed and worked across film and television from the 1960s through the 1980s.
