Fastball is a rock band from Austin, Texas formed in 1994.

Band History

In 1996 the band released their debut album called Make Your Mama Proud. Then in 1998 came their breakthrough with All the Pain Money Can Buy. This record featured the single The Way, which topped Billboard's Modern Rock chart for seven weeks and earned the band two Grammy nominations. The song also charted internationally, reaching #66 in Germany and #21 in the UK charts. In 2001, Italian DJ Gigi D'Agostino reinterpreted the song on his album L'amour toujours. In 1998, Fastball was nominated for Best New Artist at the MTV Video Music Awards.

In 2000, Fastball released The Harsh Light of Day. In 2002, a "best of" disc followed with the title Painting the Corners. A year later they released Live from Jupiter Records, a live CD that included old hits as well as tracks from the 2004 album Keep Your Wig On. After the release of Keep Your Wig On it became quiet around the band. In 2006 all band members dedicated themselves to their solo projects.
