Aadesh Shrivastava (4 September 1964 – 5 September 2015) was an Indian composer and playback singer best known for his contributions to Hindi film music. Across a career spanning two decades he composed songs and background scores for more than a hundred films and worked with many leading singers and filmmakers.
Early life and personal background
Shrivastava was born in Jabalpur in central India. Contemporary accounts note his roots in a Hindu Kayastha family; his birthplace and upbringing in Jabalpur and the state of Madhya Pradesh shaped his early exposure to Indian musical traditions. He married actress Vijeta Pandit in 1990 and they had two sons.

He worked widely in Hindi cinema, contributing songs and scores to commercial films and occasional independent projects.
