In marching bands keyless flutes in Ces ("drum pipes") are used in the soprano and tenor registers. In addition to the concert flute in C flat the concert flute in C is becoming increasingly important.
The double pedal harp is tuned in Ces. Since the pedal mechanism allows each string to be retuned twice, any key can be played. In addition, the harp sounds better in keys with many ♭ accidentals; some composers take advantage of this effect and notate pieces in Ces major instead of B major (e.g. Claude Debussy: Sonata for flute, viola and harp).
