Mustapha Moussa (born 2 February 1962 in Oran) is a former Algerian boxer best known for winning a bronze medal at the 1984 Olympic Games. Representing Algeria in the light heavyweight division, his podium finish at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles marked a milestone: it was the first Olympic medal ever won by an Algerian athlete.

Early and amateur career

Moussa developed as an amateur in the Algerian boxing system during the late 1970s and early 1980s, rising through national and regional competitions to reach international events. Competing at light heavyweight (75–81 kg), he established himself among the stronger contenders from Africa and earned selection for Algeria's Olympic team for the 1984 Games.
