Kim Melius Flyvholm Larsen (23 October 1945 – 30 September 2018) was a Danish singer, songwriter and guitarist who became one of Denmark's most popular rock artists. He led the influential rock group Gasolin' before establishing a widely successful solo career. Over the course of his life he sold more than 2.5 million albums and remained a prominent cultural figure in Denmark and the wider Scandinavian region. Musical career and major works

Larsen first rose to public attention as the frontman of Gasolin', a band that dominated the Danish rock scene in the late 1960s and through the 1970s. After the band disbanded, he pursued a solo path that combined rock, pop and folk influences, singing primarily in Danish. His catalog contains numerous studio albums and popular singles that received heavy airplay and enduring popularity in Denmark.
