David James "Mac" McAllister (born 12 January 1971) is a German politician affiliated with the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). He served as Minister-President of the Lower Saxony state government from July 2010 until 2013, after being elected to succeed Christian Wulff, who had resigned the state office following his election as President of Germany. Since 2014 McAllister has represented his party at the European level as a Member of the European Parliament.
