Charles W. Bachman (1924–2017) was an industrial computer scientist who created early database technology, devised Bachman diagrams for data modeling, and received the 1973 Turing Award.

Charles William "Charlie" Bachman III (1924–2017) was an American computer scientist best known for foundational work in database management while working in industry rather than academia.
