Location and neighbours

Surrey occupies a broad area on the south coast of British Columbia and shares municipal borders with several communities. To the north and northeast are districts such as Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam, while to the east lie Langley and other Fraser Valley municipalities. New Westminster and other urban municipalities are toward the northwest, White Rock sits near the southern shore, and Delta lies to the west (Delta). To the south, Surrey abuts the Canada–United States border near Blaine, Washington.
