Peter Dennis Skipper (11 April 1958 – 23 April 2019) was an English footballer and professional player who made his mark as a robust central defender. Born and raised in Hull, he began his senior career when he signed for Hull City in January 1979 and became closely associated with that club over more than a decade.

Skipper's career blended long spells at a hometown club with shorter periods at other teams across the English Football League.
