Orly Levy-Abekasis (Hebrew: אורלי לוי-אבקסיס, born 11 November 1973) is an Israeli politician. She sits in the Knesset as a representative of the party Gesher.
Political activity and elections
In 2019 Levy-Abekasis launched a new political movement, founding the party Gesher to contest the April 2019 national election. That initial bid did not clear the electoral threshold and the party won no seats that month. Later the same year, for the September 2019 election, Gesher joined forces with the Labor Party on a joint list; as a result Levy-Abekasis returned to the Knesset after the September vote.
Her parliamentary work since then has been conducted as a member of the Knesset for Gesher. The events of 2019—creating an independent list and then entering an electoral alliance—are central to her recent political profile.
