Norman Dewis (3 August 1920 – 8 June 2019) was a British automotive test driver and development engineer whose career was closely linked to Jaguar's postwar rise. Born in Coventry, Warwickshire, he served as Jaguar's chief test driver and development engineer from 1952 until 1985. Over more than three decades he combined high-speed driving skills with engineering feedback to help refine production and competition cars.
