Life and career

Jagodić moved into the European avant‑garde scene in the late 1960s. He began his long association with higher education in Paris in 1969 when he joined the music department of Université de Vincennes Paris 8 as an assistant and later as a lecturer. From the mid‑1970s he expanded his teaching to applied arts, taking a post in stage design and scenography at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (1974–1988). In the 1990s he taught musicology at Université de Saint‑Denis, the institution that grew from Vincennes Paris 8 after its relocation.

Jagodić's output is most often associated with experimental and contemporary idioms. He composed for film, theatre and installation contexts, frequently exploring relationships between sound, space and visual elements.
