La Heutte — village in Jura bernois, canton of Bern (now part of Péry-La Heutte)

Location and characteristics

The settlement lay in the Jura bernois region, a hilly, partly wooded area of western Bern where French is the predominant language. The former municipality included residential clusters, agricultural land and small businesses. Like many communities in the region it combined rural and light-industrial elements, with local services serving surrounding villages.

History and administrative change

La Heutte administered its own local affairs until the beginning of 2015. On 1 January 2015 the former municipalities of Péry and La Heutte merged to form the new municipality of Péry-La Heutte.
