Kate Smith (1907–1986) was an American singer and radio/television personality, best known for popularizing Irving Berlin's "God Bless America" and for her wide radio audience in the 1930s–40s.
Kathryn Elizabeth Smith (May 1, 1907 – June 17, 1986), known professionally as Kate Smith, was an American singer and musical performer whose warm contralto voice and commanding presence made her a household name.
