John Aldridge "Jack" Collom (November 8, 1931 – July 2, 2017) was an American poet, essayist, and pedagogue. His twenty-five books include Red Car Goes By: Selected Poems 1955-2000, Situation Sings (with Lyn Hejinian), and Second Nature, which won the 2013 Colorado Book Award for Poetry.
In the field of education and pedagogy, he made unique contributions in the subjects of eco-literature, ecopoetics, and creative writing instruction for children.
Collon died in Boulder, Colorado from respiratory failure caused by lung cancer on July 2, 2017, aged 85.
