Charles Henry Emeleus (4 September 1930 – 11 November 2017) was a British geologist and petrologist whose research focused on the Tertiary volcanic provinces of the North Atlantic region. Born in Belfast, he became well known for combining careful field mapping with laboratory petrology to clarify the origin, sequence and composition of volcanic rocks in Britain and Greenland. His work influenced interpretations of volcanic evolution during the Paleogene.

Emeleus specialized in the study of Tertiary (Paleogene) volcanic suites, examining lava flows, intrusive bodies and their mineralogy.
