Haut-Vully — former municipality on Mont Vully in the canton of Fribourg

Geography and landscape

The former municipality occupied the higher part of the Vully ridge overlooking Lake Murten (Murtensee) and the surrounding lowlands. Its slopes are favourable to viticulture and orchards, while trails running across Mont Vully attract walkers and cyclists. The position between lake and plain gives the area a mix of waterside and hill scenery that shapes local land use and recreation.
