In 1959 the main fairgrounds were relocated to their current site on Rokach Boulevard, closer to recreational areas such as Yarkon Park and educational institutions including Tel Aviv University. In September 2018 the complex adopted the modern trade name "EXPO Tel Aviv" while retaining local references to Ganei HaTaarucha.
